Stage one: Warm-up In the past, a lot of people died because of illnesses. Many diseases had no medicines. But now many medicines are discovered by scientists .In the present day, there is no dangerous illness. Any disease is simply treated by doctors. Influenza,diabetes,headache,stomachache,earache,toothache,backache sore throat, cough and some other ills are easily treated. Doctors say that we must take medicines when we are ill. Some scientists think that to be in good health, people should eat fresh food and practise sport. Stage two: T. gives the following questions: How many paragraphs are there in the text? Is there dangerous illnesses, now? Find out the illnesses in the text? Find tow synonyms of :illness - now 2) T. shows a picture of a headache and asks: T: Did you suffer from headache?
